Bite-Sized Review:

I confess that I was attracted initially to this show because it has two of the cast members of Kurt Seyit & Sura in it: Birkan Sokullu and Elçin Sangu.

Vampires are described differently from the usual way in this show, drawing on myth, folklore and legends and they create the world pretty well. I really liked the use of the drenched colours. Sound effects are over the top but are reminiscent of older superhero shows etc. The characters themselves are quite stereotypical. There is no mistaking who the bad guys are in this.

This show has quite a lot of graphic violence and there are some brutal scenes.

The use of Istanbul as both a backdrop and an integral part of the story helps this show stand out from the crowd.

Recommended for those who fancy watching a vampire show that’s a bit different to the usual offerings.

  1. Davina, totally en awesome sauce review 👏👏⭐️… This is certainly a different type Vampire series that I’ve found enjoyable. I didn’t realize that I’d missed the initial review. I’m only 4/8 episodes . This review was very insightful especially if the actors are newer to the audience. I watched the series primarily following both Pietro//Birkan Sokullu, Elçin Sangu/Gudize (Kurt Seyit ve Sura ) and actors Kerem Bürsin/Ali, Nilperi Şahinkaya/Asli… This is a must see series ♥️🎬😎
